The Dr. Joanne V. Collins Elementary and Junior/Senior High School is a comprehensive, year-round educational program designed to recognize the academic needs of each child. Accredited through AdvancED (formerly NCA), our on-campus school provides a success-oriented curriculum that encourages individualized achievement.

Each child has a team of adults that includes a teacher, counselor and program supervisor that meets regularly to evaluate his/her needs both academically and personally to ensure growth while placed within our program.

Our current school building was completed in October 2007. It features five classrooms, a computer lab, library, and arts and craft room, all adjacent to our recreational facility. Through a Title I grant, we offer asssistance in both math and reading, with our classroom teachers also seeking to extend learning outside of the classroom through trips to local museums and parks.

Our more advanced students have the chance to work through independent study in select subjects as agreed upon by their individual teachers.

Students attend class from 8:45am to 3:15pm Monday through Friday during the regular school year (August-May) and half days through the summer. Classes are small and staffed by both a licensed teacher and a teacher's aide to provide more one-on-one instruction for the students.

Students may also be admitted into our day school program, attending classes on campus during the day and returning home in the afternoon.
